CHATTANOOGA MAN AMONG 3 ARRESTED AT VIRGINIA PROTEST TURNED DEADLY

A Chattanooga, Tennessee man is among three people arrested related to the violent protests that turned deadly in Charlottesville, Virginia yesterday (Saturday, August 12, 2017). Virginia State Police arrested 21-year-old Troy Dunigan of Chattanooga and charged him with disorderly conduct. Officers say Dunigan has a criminal history in Hamilton County and was arrested in February 2017 for violating probation. He was charged with theft in 2015. Police also arrested Jacob Smith of Lousia, Virginia and charged him with misdemeanor assault and battery. They also arrested James O’Brien of Gainesville, Florida and charged him with carrying a concealed handgun.
