CHESTNUT HILL WINERY TO BE REPLACED BY WEIGEL’S

According to a report by the Crossville Chronicle, the Crossville Regional Planning Commission approved a site plan for a new 6,605-square-foot Weigel’s store on Peavine Road, replacing Chestnut Hill Winery near I-40. The store will feature 50 parking spaces, six large truck diesel pumps, a seating area, and an in-house deli.
Construction is expected to start in about six months, aiming for completion in 2026, pending permits. Weigel’s will fund road improvements, including a traffic signal and widening Peavine and Chestnut Hill Roads, as required by a city-mandated traffic study.
The certificate of occupancy depends on these improvements or a financial guarantee.
