CITY OF CROSSVILLE NAMES LT. JAKE DEROSSETT OUTSTANDING EMPLOYEE OF THE QUARTER
The City of Crossville has named Lieutenant Jake DeRossett of the Crossville Fire Department as its Outstanding Employee of the Quarter for June 2026, honoring his nearly two decades of dedicated service and key technical contributions to the city’s newest station.
Lt. DeRossett, who began his career with the department as a volunteer, has served as a full-time firefighter for 18 years. He was recognized for playing a crucial role during the construction of the new Fire Station 2, where he served as the technical point of contact.
Leveraging his technical expertise, DeRossett assisted the city’s IT Department with the installation of networking equipment, workstations, emergency radios, and the station’s call system. His input ensured that technical recommendations were efficient, cost-effective, and tailored directly to the daily needs of active firefighters.
City officials noted that DeRossett managed the technical integration on top of his regular duties, which included leading his crew, participating in ongoing training, and responding to emergency calls.
“We are grateful to Lt. DeRossett for his commitment to serving this city,” city officials stated in a public announcement congratulating the veteran firefighter.
