CONTINUED RAINFALL CAUSING LOCAL ROAD PROBLEMS
Continued rainfall in the area today caused even more problems but the Cumberland and Roane County Road Departments have worked hard to make sure minimal impacts were felt. Cumberland County Road Superintendent Scott Blaylock told 105.7 News that his crews continually monitored the trouble areas when heavy rains fall and the only issue as of early this afternoon was a section of road around the 2,000 block of Pomona Road. That is expected to be resolved soon pending if the rain stops. Roane County Superintendent Dennis Ferguson told this newsroom this afternoon that the main problem there is trees falling blocking roads. (Picture used in this story is from Roane County)
