COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY TAKEN AT CROSSVILLE WAFFLE HOUSE
Crossville City Police responded on Friday, May 3rd to the Waffle House at 43 Executive Drive for a counterfeit currency report. When police arrived on the scene they made contact with a Waffle House employee who stated that on approximately Tuesday, April 23rd during their third shift, an unknown black male entered the restaurant and paid with fake currency. She stated a younger
female employee took the money without knowing it was fake. The counterfeit currency totaled $120.00. A single One-hundred-dollar bill and one Twenty-dollar bill.
The employee stated she tried to view security cameras but never observed a black male enter the restaurant. The currency was placed in evidence at the Crossville Police Department.
