A Cumberland County couple charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder appeared in criminal court this morning. Authorities say 35-year-old Kirk Douglas Clark, and 35-year-old Doneal Marie Clark each face additional charges of aggravated burglary and theft. The shooting occurred at a home on Cherokee Trail in January of 2019. Linda Damewood, age 74, died at the scene and 63-year-old Andrew Schan and 73-year-old Ellen Cairns were injured from gunshot wounds. In court today, a return date of December 7, 2020 was set and a trial is not likely until sometime in 2021.
