A Crossville couple has reported that someone stole several checks and forged their name on them. Police took the report from a residence on Jesse Loop. The complainants were in the presence of a home healthcare nurse who told officers that the previous home health employee had stolen the checks and forged her employer’s name to them. In all, eleven checks were provided through bank records that had been cashed for a total $2,680. The investigation is continuing.
