New COVID cases continue to climb in area counties. Yesterday in Cumberland County a total of 288 active cases were reported, that’s up 45 from the previous day.  Roane County reported 242 active cases, up 38 from the previous day.  Rhea County reported 118 active cases, an increase of 18 over the previous day.  Pickett County Reported 12 adctive cases, up 3 from the previous day.

The state is reporting that over the past 7 days, 28.5 percent of those taking the Covid test have tested positive in Cumberland County. Statewide, there were 3,819 new Covid cases reported Tuesday, with 9 reported new fatalities, that’s up from 2,717 reported cases Monday, with 16 fatalites statewide.
