Charles Kevin Cox, age 37, of Crossville, was sentenced in Cumberland County general sessions court yesterday for indecent exposure.

The incident took place in May of this year when he exposed and pleasured himself in Centennial Park in front of several juveniles.

Prosecutors say Cox initially faced multiple counts of the similar offense but because of state laws regarding the crime, he was only sentenced for a single charge. Cox received the maximum incarceration Tennessee allows of 6 months to serve in jail.

The sheriff’s department confirms Cox has a criminal history being booked there at least 25 times on various charges in the past.
