A single vehicle accident yesterday afternoon on I-40 in Cumberland County claimed the life of a Crab Orchard man. Trooper Jack Alderman says a 2000 Toyota Camry driven by 62-year-old Donald Monday was traveling east at the 306 mile marker when the vehicle veered sharply to the left, traveled into the median and struck two trees. The automobile came to rest after it landed on its top. Monday passed away at the scene from injuries sustained.
