Crews are preparing for the expansion of Interstate Drive in Crossville from Genesis Road west to North Main Street. New power poles are installed just north of the existing road.

“What is holding up that part of the phase is three easements. We hope to have it resolved soon and bidding going out in the next couple of months,” said Crossville City Manager Greg Wood. “This is part of the Northwest Connector and phase three.”

“Phase two will see the same expansion into a five lane road involving the stretch on Northside Drive from North Main Street west to Highway 70 North. That is expected to get underway late this year.”

Phase one is already finished on Northside Drive from Highway 70 North to Highway 70 West.
