CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL APPROVES PURCHASES AND EVALUATION OF CITY MANAGER
At last night’s Crossville City Council meeting, members approved a motion to make an offer of $275,000 for three acres of land on Webb Avenue next to the library if the land owner can secure the property with a commitment letter from the railroad. The council also approved the evaluation of City Manager Greg Wood with an “exceeds expectations” rating, the purchase of waterproof radios for the Crossville Fire Department, volleyball court fencing and generators for the Mayland Road and Plateau Road pump stations. The council also approved a motion to begin merger talks with South Cumberland Utility District while tabling a proposal to furnish water to Crab Orchard Utility District.
