The Crossville City Council approved several purchases at their Tuesday night meeting. The council approved the purchase of a new generator for the city Fire Department. The generator will be provided by Jeff Woods Construction. The council also approved purchases of a car and truck lift and a half-ton double cab box truck for Maintenance and sand for the volley ball court at Centennial Park. The council also unanimously approved a motion to hire engineering firm Walford & Associates to investigate action on running sewer and water lines to the Meadow Park Water Treatment Plant. The plan is to connect the lines at Brown Elementary School and on Lantana Road. The council requested to see a contract concerning the project at their December meeting.
