CROSSVILLE DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF TERRY POTTER RECEIVES COMMENDATION

Crossville Deputy Fire Chief Terry Potter received a commendation today after assisting in the arrest of a suspected arsonist.

On August 1, 2023, police and firefighters in Crossville responded to Methodist Campground Loop for a large structure fire. Upon arrival, it was found that there were actually several fires on the property.

Crews were able to extinguish all of the fires. A video of the suspect was recorded by security cameras and passed along to police and fire.

Within the hour, Potter spotted a suspect that matched the description.

The individual reportedly made a full confession and was subsequently charged.
