CROSSVILLE MAN DANCING IN ROAD AND BLOCKING TRAFFIC ON SATURDAY

On Saturday, City units were dispatched to the area of 1044 East First Street for a male subject dancing in the road, blocking traffic on both sides. When the officer arrived, he observed random items scattered on the road and a male subject rocking back and forth in the fetal position. When the officer approached the male subject, he noticed he had involuntary muscle movements, he was profusely sweating and wasn’t wearing a shirt, only shorts. It was currently around 30 degrees at the time.

The officer noticed these signs to be of possible methamphetamine use. Brandon Vance, age 29, was placed into custody. He alleged he had just come from a known drug house. However, he then asked officers why he was being arrested as if he had no memory of what he had been doing or how he got there.

During a search, officers located a syringe. He was charged with Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct.

It was noted in the police report, that Mr. Vance continued moving around and dancing for over an hour after being placed in his cell.
