Flynn is scheduled to appear on the Cumberland County General Sessions Court criminal court docket on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

According to an affidavit of complaint filed by Officer Shade Foster of the Crossville Police Department, authorities responded at approximately 1:13 AM on July 31 to reports of a possible shooting near Industrial Boulevard, followed by a dispatch regarding a large, active physical altercation involving roughly 20 individuals on Goodwin Circle.

Investigation and Confession

Upon arriving at Goodwin Circle, police detained multiple individuals, including Flynn, who was identified by witnesses as the shooter from the recreation park area.

After being read his Miranda rights, Flynn spoke with law enforcement and recounted a series of escalating confrontations:

• Initial Altercation: Flynn stated he was involved in an initial dispute at a Speedway gas station on West Avenue, during which multiple subjects directed racial slurs at him.

• Centennial Park Escalation: The conflict continued over to Centennial Park, where the verbal harassment persisted.

• The Shooting: Flynn admitted to hiding in a bush near the park entrance and firing multiple rounds from a firearm toward passing vehicles carrying individuals involved in the dispute.
