Cumberland County deputies were called to Interstate 40 yesterday evening around mile marker 316 for reports of a male lying on the side of the road. When deputies arrived, they located the male lying on the westbound shoulder of the Interstate. Deputies attempted to wake up the male multiple times before he finally woke up. He was identified as 30-year-old Ian Morin.

Deputies observed a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his person as well as bloodshot watery eyes.

For the safety of the public as well as Ian’s, he was arrested for Public Intoxication.
