A Crossville man has been indicted by a Cumberland County grand jury. Court documents say 21-year-old Danilo Lopez Gomez faces DUI, possession of a Schedule VI drug, leaving the scene of an accident and two counts of reckless endangerment. The indictment states in January of 2018, Gomez crossed the center line in his vehicle while under the influence and struck a Honda Pilot with two individuals and their three minor children inside. While fleeing the scene, Gomez crashed his vehicle into a house. Gomez is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges in Cumberland County Criminal Court on May 15, 2018.
