A Cumberland County man lost his life in a vehicle accident in eastern Putnam County yesterday. Troopers say a 2004 Honda motorcycle operated by 73-year-old Michael Smith of Crossville was traveling east at the 295 mile marker of Interstate 40 when he rear ended a 2007 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by 52-year-old J. Larosa Scott of Fort Worth, Texas. Troopers say Smith died at the scene. Scott was not injured in the accident.
