A vehicle accident yesterday claimed the life of a Crossville man. Trooper Justin Mote says a 2001 Ford Escape operated by 48-year-old Carlos Eldridge of Sparta crossed the center lane on Lantana Road and hit an oncoming 1996 Jeep Cherokee driven by 56-year-old Kenneth Rasor of Crossville head on. Both drivers were hurt in the crash. A passenger in the Jeep, 85-year-old Thomas Beadle, died from injuries sustained. Troopers say charges are pending the outcome of the accident investigation. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says Beadle makes the 18^th traffic fatality in Cumberland County so far this year.
