A Cumberland County man passed away this morning from injuries sustained in a June 2 accident. Troopers say a Chevy S-10 driven by 77-year-old Henry T. Parks of Crossville had to stop abruptly for another vehicle stopping to turn on Highway 70 West in the Pleasant Hill area. The report states a Chevy 3500 pulling a trailer, driven by 25-year-old Cameron D. Simpson of Sparta, was unable to stop and hit Parks’ vehicle in the rear, which caused Parks to leave the road, striking a culvert. Officers say citations were issued following the accident.
