CROSSVILLE MAN TRIES TO OUTSMART COP BY HIDING HIS METH

On Thursday, June 16, an officer stopped a vehicle for a tag light out. Corey Keith, age 43, stated to the officer that he had recently installed the light. He consented to a search of the vehicle while he would try to repair the light. The officer observed Keith reach in his pocket and then under the car, where the officer knew was not necessary to fix the tag light. When the officer did a personal search, they found 3.6 grams of methamphetamine in a pant pocket. When the officer went to check under the area of the car, there was an additional 10.4 grams of methamphetamine recovered.
Corey Keith was arrested for possession of meth and intent to sell.
