CROSSVILLE POLICE ARREST FORREST TYLER GAY FOR SPORTS CARD THEFT AT WALMART
According to a report by the Crossville Police Department, on October 15, 2025, Crossville Police Department officers responded to a theft at Walmart, where a male suspect, later identified as Forrest Tyler Gay, fled toward Old Jamestown Hwy.
Loss prevention reported that Gay, dressed in black and carrying a black bag, stole sports cards valued at $334.29 by concealing them in a cereal box and committed a price-switching scam by purchasing a $1.00 pair of men’s shorts but taking an $11.00 unisex pajama set. Officer Keith Sadula apprehended Gay behind Agape after he complied with orders to stop. Gay admitted to knowing he was banned from Walmart since March 3, 2024, and led officers to the hidden cereal box containing the stolen cards.
All stolen property, including the sports cards and pajamas, was recovered by loss prevention on the same day. Gay was read his Miranda rights, and loss prevention issued a theft warrant, while Officer Sadula issued a warrant for criminal trespassing.
