CROSSVILLE POLICE ARREST MAN AFTER FORKLIFT DAMAGE SPREE

On June 23, 2025, Crossville police arrested Brent Lee Hodge, 34, at a Marine and RV dealership at the former Vanity Fair mall, after he allegedly caused extensive damage and fired a gun. Hodge, wearing a blue t-shirt, shorts, and sunglasses, entered the dealership, took a forklift, and crashed into interior walls, two campers (17ft and 20ft), glass doors, chain-link fences, and damaged the forklift.
The Sales manager initially mistook Hodge for a worker but witnessed him deliberately drive the forklift toward him, prompting the manager to draw his firearm in fear. Hodge exited, claiming the forklift was faulty, then fired a shot from a gun in his waistband, approximately six feet from Mullinger, before heading toward Buc-ee’s.
Police apprehended Hodge near the Pilot gas station on the Genesis bridge without incident. He faces vandalism and aggravated assault charges.
