CROSSVILLE POLICE ARREST MAN AT DOLLAR GENERAL STORE FOR DRUG INDUCED P.I.

A Crossville man was charged with public intoxication from drugs Wednesday. Police were called to the North Main St. Dollar General Store, where employees had stated that the male, identified as 47-year-old Jerry Dwayne Harris, had run into the store excitedly, told them to call emergency services, threw his backpack in the doorway and walked back outside. That is where officers found him. Harris appeared pale with heavy perspiration and bloodshot eyes. When asked about the last time he used methamphetamine, Harris said he had eaten a small rock that morning. He was taken into custody and booked without incident.
