CROSSVILLE POLICE BAG METH PACKED FOR RESALE AND NUMEROUS PRESCRIPTION PILLS IN BUST

Crossville Police netted drugs packaged for resale during a traffic stop this past weekend. Shortly after 9:30 Saturday night, officers followed a 2007 Ford Eagle that had been parked at a local transmission shop after-hours. Due to a rash of business thefts lately, the officers followed the vehicle with two female occupants to the parking lot of Outpatient Imaging at Cumberland Medical Center. The driver of the Ford was identified as 51-year-old Kimberly Ann Thompson of Crossville. While talking to the women, the unidentified female passenger told police that a meth pipe was in the rear of the vehicle. A search of the car turned up 3.5 grams of meth in seven separate bags that were inside a larger baggie. A variety of drugs including Oxymorphone Hydrochloride and Alprazolam were discovered in the search along with $625 in different amounts of currency. Thompson was taken into custody and charged with manufacture/delivery/sale of a controlled substance, along with two charges of simple possession.
