CROSSVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT HOSTS FREE CHILD CAR-SEAT CHECKPOINT IN APRIL
According to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration, 80% of all child restraints are used incorrectly.
The Crossville Police Department is partnering with Safe Journey and the L.B.J. & C. Head Start to conduct a free child car-seat checkpoint Wednesday, April 3, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the L.B.J. & C. Crossville Head Start, 1831 East First Street in Crossville.
During the checkpoint, child safety seats will be checked by certified car-seat technicians, who will provide instructions and demonstrate the proper way to install your child’s car seat.
Directions from I‐40: Take exit 322 (Peavine Road). Head south on Peavine Road 0.2 miles, turn right onto East First Street, travel 0.8 miles and the L.B.J.& C. will be on the right.
