CROSSVILLE POLICE INVESTIGATING MAN POINTING FIREARM AT A CHILD
Last night, Crossville police responded to a home on East First Street to reports of a man scaring children with a firearm. Officers were told by an adult at the home that an 8-year-old girl saw a man, possibly in his early 30s, walking along Campbell Street, carrying a rifle. The man approached the girl and a 7-year-old boy, whom he did not know, and told them to come to his house. When they refused, the man pointed the firearm at the boy. The children ran back to their home and notified adults. Officers canvassed the area and interviewed neighbors. No suspect was named in the report.
