The Crossville Police Dept. was involved in a tense situation with a domestic call near Cumberland Medical Center Thursday night. Details on the incident are sketchy at this time. What is known is that the department’s Tactical Response Unit, or TRU Team, was called to an apartment complex near the hospital about 8 PM for a situation that had escalated between a husband and wife. Sources say that the male subject had at least one firearm and would not leave the premises resulting in the hospital to go into “lockdown mode”. The suspect was finally taken into custody without incident and is undergoing a mental evaluation. No names of any involved were released.
