CROSSVILLE POLICE RESPONDS TO YET ANOTHER WALMART THEFT REPORT

On June 5, 2026, Officer Mitchell Park of the Crossville Police Department responded to Walmart regarding a theft that occurred the previous night. Upon arrival, Officer Park met with an Asset Protection Investigator (API) to review security footage. The API reported that on June 4, 2026, at approximately 20:27 hours, he observed an unknown suspect concealing items in the men’s clothing section.

At approximately 20:40 hours, the suspect bypassed all points of sale and exited the store without attempting to pay, carrying the concealed merchandise in an obsolete grey Walmart bag. The API confronted the individual in the parking lot and stated that law enforcement would be contacted. The suspect then surrendered the bag and its contents before leaving the scene.

The recovered merchandise, valued at a subtotal of $98.79, included a 175W inverter ($37.82), a 2500LM light ($39.97), and a 2000L light ($21.00), all of which were returned in new and unused condition.

Although the suspect remains unidentified at this time, Officer Park instructed the API to upload all relevant surveillance footage to Axon Evidence for further investigation.
