MAN SERVED WITH VIOLATION OF PROBATION WARRANT AFTER CRASHING MOTORCYCLE AND PASSING OUT IN THE WOODS
On June 6, 2026, the Crossville Police Department arrested 40-year-old John Paul Brown on a Violation of Probation warrant with no bond. Earlier that day, around 4:57 PM, city units responded to Old Lantana Road after receiving multiple welfare calls regarding a bleeding male with a suspected broken foot who was asking for rides. Officer Joshua Mangas located Mr. Brown attempting to leave the area in a vehicle.
Mr. Brown, who exhibited road rash and a foot laceration, stated he had crashed his motorcycle the night before and passed out in the woods. Because of his injuries, Emergency Medical Services transported him to Cumberland Medical Center (CMC). Although police discovered an active local warrant for Mr. Brown, they delayed taking him into custody so he could receive medical care.
Once the hospital cleared him for release, officers took Mr. Brown into custody, and transport officer Matthew Charlock delivered him to the Cumberland County Justice Center at 5:41 PM.
