CROSSVILLE RESIDENT WAKES UP TO FIND AN UNKNOWN WOMAN IN HALLWAY

On Wednesday, a man woke up by his dogs barking and a light in his hallway turned on. When he asked who was there, a female subject came into the doorway holding two empty feed bags from his barn.

When he asked the woman who she was, she replied “Carla Anderson”. He told the woman to leave his residence and leave the property she had stolen from his barn.

The man called authorities as he watched the woman walk down the road and to the next residence. When Cumberland County deputies arrived at Turkey Blind Road, they located the suspect and identified her as 43-year-old Carla Howard.

According to the police report, Ms. Howard admitted to being in the victim’s home and taking property from his barn. She was then transported to intake. She was charged with Aggravated Burglary and had a previous warrant out for Violation of Probation.
