CROSSVILLE RESTAURANT FOLLOW UP SCORE 90 AFTER INITIALLY SCORING A 75

A food inspector recently visited The Country Kitchen on Main Street in Crossville.

The restaurant initially scored a 75. It is a passing score as any grade of 69 and below is failing.

The report from the inspector stated he watched an employee place raw hamburger meat on a cooktop, wipe his hands on a dirty apron, and begin to handle clean plates without washing his hands first.

The inspector found the temperature of tuna, cooked chicken, and sausage patties closer to 50 degrees, instead of the required 41 degrees or below.

The report noted three pounds of food products were thrown away as a result.

In the refrigerator, several food products were left uncovered. Health rules require that food must be covered.

The inspector returned a few days later for a re-inspection of The Country Kitchen.

All of the original critical violations were corrected.

The new grade for the restaurant was 90.
