The Sports Authority of Crossville will have two meetings today. One, at noon, to see a presentation of the Uplands Design Group of the proposed, and controversial, 40-million-dollar indoor recreational center.  The Sports Authority was created by the City Council Council  to take over the spending of the 40 million dollars on the rec center and to oversee the planning and execution of building the rec center. Some are against the City spending an exorbitant amount of money on the rec center when other projects in the city need the money more.

The Sports Authority will meet for a second time at 4 pm at City Hall for the public to express their opinion of the City spending 40 million dollars on the proposed recreation center.

The City council will then meet at 5:30 to discuss a resolution needing to be passed to approve the building of the recreation center.
