The Clifford H. “Ted” Rees, Jr. Scholarship Foundation, part of the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), awarded a total of $166,500 in 2025 scholarships to 93 students pursuing careers as technicians in the HVACR and water heating industry.
This included support for aspiring professionals across various programs, with the goal of promoting well-paying, non-outsourceable jobs in the field.

Samuel White was noted as one of those who received scholarships for both the spring and fall terms.
AHRI President and CEO Stephen Yurek highlighted the foundation’s ongoing commitment to helping dedicated students enter the industry, building on over $1.6 million awarded to more than 900 students since 2003.
Recipients also received a free Ready-to-Work test through a partnership with North American Technician Excellence (NATE).
