Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam approved nearly $28 million in Community Development Block Grants, which assist area communities with infrastructure improvements, health and safety initiatives and facade upgrades in downtown commercial districts. Crossville and Lenoir City will see $525,000; another $475,000 will go to Monterey for sewer enhancements. Pickett County will receive $110,500 for emergency services.
