CROSSVILLE VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER OF THE YEAR AND OTHERS HONORED
The Crossville Fire Dept. was in the spotlight at Tuesday’s City Council meeting. Fire Chief Mike Turner and City Mayor James Mayberry announced that Patrick South was designated as the Volunteer Firefighter of the Year. South, who is the son of Assistant Chief Chris South and also a paramedic, has won the honor for the fourth year in a row. South and his father were also recognized for their work as volunteers in the recent wildfire disaster in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. They were part of a contingent that was sent to Pigeon Forge to assist in fighting the fires along with fellow crewmen Tim Johnson, Terry Potter, Casey Worsham, Clyde Winningham, Trevor Gibson, Jordan Winningham, Jake DeRossett and Donald Earhart.
