CROSSVILLE WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGEDLY FIRING BB GUN AT VEHICLE ON I-40

Putnam County authorities say a Crossville woman was arrested after allegedly shooting a BB gun at a vehicle in Cookeville. Officers say 31-year-old Heather L. Beck was charged with aggravated assault and vandalism. Authorities say the alleged act took place on Interstate 40 westbound between the Jefferson Avenue and Highway 111 exits. Officers say Beck was a passenger in a Nissan Altima and fired a ball bearing from the gun into another vehicles window. The victim gave officers the tag number and officers located Beck at Clarion Inn on South Jefferson Avenue in Cookeville. She was transported to the Putnam County jail.
