CROSSVILLE WOMAN ATTEMPTS TO HIDE METH IN BRA FROM COPS

On April 1, Cumberland County deputies had started to initiate a traffic stop on the driver of a white car when they pulled into a residence off Mountain View Road. The driver, identified as 31-year-old Kayla Walker was shoving an item into her pants as the deputy was approaching the vehicle.

The deputy had Kayla step out of the vehicle. She allegedly told the deputy she lived at the residence, however, the homeowner came outside and claimed she did not. While the deputy turned back around, he witnessed Ms. Walker throw a green bag from her pants into the yard.

According to the police report, the bag contained .88 grams of what is believed to be marijuana. She was arrested for having several failures to appear in the past.

While at intake, a glass smoking pipe and a clear baggie containing 1.38 grams of what is believed to be methamphetamine were concealed in her bra area.

Kayla Walker was charged with:

SIMPLE POSSESSION – Bond: $3,000
CONTRABAND IN PENAL INSTITUTION -Bond: $15,000

TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE -Bond: $12,000
UNLAWFUL POSSESSION DRUG PARAPHERNALIA -$Bond: 3,000
MAN, DEL., SELL, OR POSSESS METH -$Bond: 5,000
