CROSSVILLE WOMAN FACING MULTIPLE CHARGES AFTER HIGH-SPEED PURSUIT AND DRUG ARREST

A local woman is scheduled to appear in Cumberland County General Sessions Court on July 9, 2026, following a series of criminal charges that include a high-speed vehicle pursuit reaching speeds over 100 MPH and a prior drug arrest.

Victoria Morgan Lockard, of Crossville, faces multiple charges across two separate incidents spanning from October 2025 to May 2026. She is currently being represented by a public defender.

According to court affidavits, Lockard’s most recent charges stem from a chaotic, multi-jurisdictional police chase on May 14, 2026.

The incident began around 7:56 PM when Deputy Tyler Leary attempted to stop a white early-2000s Ford Mustang on Brewer Road for failing to maintain its lane. That initial pursuit was quickly terminated due to a malfunction with the cruiser’s emergency sirens.

Roughly an hour later, at 8:50 PM, Sgt. Elijah Tollett spotted the same Mustang traveling south on Lantana Road at a high rate of speed and driving partially in the oncoming lane. When Sgt. Tollett activated his emergency lights and sirens, the Mustang fled, reaching speeds exceeding 100 MPH and passing multiple vehicles in oncoming traffic.

The high-speed chase crossed county lines and came to a violent end on Highway 30 in Bledsoe County, where the Mustang crashed. The wreck resulted in injuries to both Lockard and her passenger.

As a result of the pursuit, Lockard has been charged with:

  • Two counts of Evading Arrest in a Vehicle (Class E Felony)

  • Two counts of Reckless Endangerment with a Vehicle (Misdemeanor)

  • Reckless Driving

In addition to the driving offenses, Lockard’s upcoming court appearance will address a Pre-Trial Diversion (PTD) termination regarding an October 23, 2025, arrest for Simple Possession/Casual Exchange.

According to that affidavit, Master Patrol Officer Corey Freeman conducted a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet on Highway 127 North on October 17, 2025. Lockard, who was a backseat passenger, was asked to step out of the vehicle. A subsequent search by K-9 Sgt. Massey uncovered a black container hidden in Lockard’s brassiere. The container held approximately 0.25 grams of a purple powder substance believed to be Fentanyl.

Lockard is set to address all six pending counts this Thursday in front of the Cumberland County General Sessions Court.
