CROSSVILLE WOMAN INDICTED FOR VEHICULAR HOMICIDE
A Crossville woman has been indicted by a Cumberland County Grand Jury for vehicular homicide.
The charge stems from an accident back on July 27, 2019 in Fairfield Glade. The report states a 2002 Oldsmobile driven by 25-year-old Karley Mekenzie Reph of Crossville was traveling on the 400 block of Lakeview Drive when she lost control, went off the road, struck two trees and came to rest after striking a home. Reph and a passenger in her vehicle, 23-year-old Kyle B. Perry of Crossville, were both transported to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment of injuries. A third passenger, 19-year-old Skylar M. Lewis of Crossville, was airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. A fourth passenger, 19-year-old Jeremiah L. Hood of Crossville, died at the scene. Troopers indicate in the report Reph had been drinking alcohol prior to the crash.
After the grand jury indictment was handed down, Reph turned herself in Friday at the Cumberland County Justice Center. She was initially placed under $15,000 bond.
Reph is scheduled to be arraigned on the vehicular homicide charge in Cumberland County Criminal Court this Friday (January 17, 2020)
