Law enforcement agencies will take part in the National Prescription Take-Back Initiative this Saturday (April 24, 2021). It is done annually to properly dispose of unused or expired medication.

In Cumberland County, citizens can drop off the unwanted medication at the sheriff’s office at 90 Justice Center Drive from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. central. Crossville Police will set up on Main Street during the cruise-in during the same time. In the event of rain which is in the forecast, Chief Jessie Brooks says a bin is inside the police department office available during weekday office hours for drop off.

In Roane County, Walgreens on Roane State Highway in Harriman and the Kingston City Hall from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. eastern will be the designated sites.
