The Cumberland County Commission last night approved a resolution directing TennCare to reimburse ground ambulance providers at a rate not less than the current Medicare fee schedule and adding funding to the 2020-2021 budget. The resolution originated from the EMS Director in an attempt to secure more funding for TennCare ambulance transports. If the resolution is approved by the state, it would result in a substantial funding increase for the county emergency medical services.
