CUMBERLAND CO. TO LOOK AT REPLACING COUNTY HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE GARAGE
The Cumberland County Building and Grounds Committee met yesterday to hear an update from Scott Blaylock with the highway department on the condition of the maintenance garage. Blaylock told the committee the building is becoming an issue for his workers to be in when it rains because of several leaks and runoff going towards lighting inside. He added if it continues it will become a safety concern. The committee will meet at the garage on December 2 to tour the building and possibly look at plans for a new structure. The current maintenance garage was built in the 1950’s.
