CUMBERLAND COUNTY BEER BOARD TO LOOK AT 10 PERMIT VIOLATIONS

The Cumberland County Beer Board will be meeting later this month in a special-called session in order to look at permit holders that were recently charged with selling alcohol to an under-aged customer. Board Chair Tom Isham told 1057 News that the undercover operation took place on Prom night in which 10 stores allowed beer to be sold illegally to an underage agent working with law enforcement. The following businesses have reportedly pleaded guilty to the crime and are scheduled to come before the board: Little Brads, Plateau Exxon, Greenwave Sunoco, Sawmill Market, Crab Orchard Citgo, Weigel’s, Proffitt Market, Vandever Market, Happy Sac and Homestead Market. The board will be meeting at 9 AM on Wednesday, May 24 in the large courtroom of the courthouse.
