During last night’s Cumberland County Board of Education meeting, members approved the 2025-26 school calendar.

Teachers will have a convocation day on August 1, 2025. They will take part in in-service and administration days on August 4, 5. 6, and 7.

Students will return to the classroom from summer break in 2025 for a registration day on August 8. Schools will dismiss at 10 a.m. The first full day for students will be August 11, 2025.

There will be no school for Labor Day on September 1, 2025.

Fall break will take place October 13-17, 2025.

Thanksgiving break will be November 26 – 28, 2025.

Winter/Christmas break will be from December 22 until January 2, 2026. School will resume on January 5, 2026.

The school system will recognize Dr. Martin Luther King Holiday with no school on January 19, 2026.

A teacher in-service day is planned for February 16, 2026, with no school for students.

Spring break will take place from March 16 – 20, 2026.

There will be no school on Good Friday, April 3, 2026.

The last holiday for students will be May 25, 2026, in recognition of Memorial Day.

Teachers will have an administrative day with no students on May 26, 2026.

The last day of the 2025-26 school year will be on May 27, 2026. Students will dismiss for summer break at 10 a.m.
