The Cumberland County Board of Education finalized a series of contracts at their monthly meeting Thursday night. The board had been working on such contracts with Uplands Design Group on architectural designs involving the Crab Orchard Elementary School construction project, along with renovations at Cumberland County High School and roofing at CCHS. The projects, coming in at $12 million, were approved earlier this year by the county commission. The contracts were approved on an 8-1 vote with Board Vice-Chair Teresa Boston casting the only vote against. A retainer contract for Board Attorney Earl Patton was also approved.
