CUMBERLAND COUNTY DEPUTY TASERS WANTED INDIVIDUAL AFTER SUSPECT ATTEMPTS TO RUN AWAY

Deputies in Cumberland County responded Saturday to a home on Critter Creek Road for a disturbance. A check of one at the scene, 27-year-old Emory Ellen Hill of Crossville, revealed two active warrants. While escorting Hill who was not handcuffed at the time to a patrol car, Hill reportedly ran off. Hill was ordered to stop which she allegedly did not comply. A deputy deployed his taser on Hill and she was taken into custody for evading arrest and the two outstanding warrants of failure to appear in court and violation of probation.
