CUMBERLAND COUNTY APPROVES EMS/FIRE CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS WITH FLATROCK
The Cumberland County Commission has passed a resolution authorizing the county to enter into a contract with Flatrock Motor Club to provide emergency medical services (EMS) and fire protection for the motorsports facility. County Mayor Allen Foster emphasized that this agreement represents an expansion of services for the county, enhancing public safety in the area.
Under the terms of the contract, Flatrock Motor Club will cover the costs of the EMS and fire services provided at the track. However, the agreement also stipulates that these services may be deployed to respond to off-site emergencies as needed, ensuring flexibility to address critical situations beyond the facility.
This arrangement benefits both parties as Flatrock Motorsports gains dedicated on-site emergency services, while the county can extend its public safety resources without additional financial burden.
