Cumberland County firefighters responded to an area on the Obed River Monday morning after a tent was seen wrapped around a tree in the middle of the river. Upon arrival, crews observed the current was strong from flooding and there was something large inside the tent. Fearing that the object inside was a person, crews conducted a water rescue. It ended on a good note. The object in the tent turned out to be someone‘s belongings. No injuries were reported to the crew that responded.
